We are now LEGACY CHURCH!
Rock Creek Church and Boulder Valley Church of Christ are officially uniting to become one congregation under the new name, LEGACY CHURCH. We could not be more excited for this development, as God has led us every step of the way, and we believe that God is going to do BIG things through our obedience. As you can imagine, there will be a lot of changes, and some of them will take time. Please bear with us as we navigate these changes to the best of our ability, and please feel free to contact us at any time!
A letter from Pastor Brian:
Hello Legacy Church Friends & Family!
Praise God for the unthinkable. The unimaginable. The unspeakable. Last Sunday we made—and begin acting on—the decision to unify two devoted bodies of believers for The Kingdom of God! WE ARE LEGACY CHURCH!
You may not have voted for this change or are feeling uneasy. That’s ok. We will walk through it together. Slowly. Shoulder-to-shoulder. Protecting unity in Christ.
Others may be super excited about the possibilities God has provided. Let’s stoke that fire! Let’s get to know one another, and begin mobilizing our faith, energy, talents, and more to glorify Him in all that we do and all that we are.
What to Expect
We will continue to worship at both Legacy Church campuses (Boulder Valley and Rock Creek) through May 29. We encourage you to attend services at either location for a unique experience and unified message guided by the Legacy Church mission and vision.
2 key dates:
- May 29 – Final service at each Legacy Church campus (Boulder Valley and Rock Creek)
- June 5 – First service together at Legacy Church’s permanent location (270 76th St., Boulder)
We ask for your grace in the coming months – for Legacy Church leadership and for one another – as we walk through a number of changes together:
- Construction projects
- Website & social media changes
- Updating databases
- Learning one another’s faces and names
- Acclimating to worshipping with new people and making new friends
Let's join arms and hearts as we trailblaze a new frontier of faith, building on the past and setting our eyes on what is to come. Stay in The Word of God, stay in prayer, love God and the other, and look for Him to take you deeper in faith.
"This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful." Joshua 1:8 NRSV
In it together,
Pastor Brian Hays
